Regen issues, thumping sound from the motor, and a few other smaller things. The fuel pumps don't appear to be an issue on the L5P motors. At least not in the sense the LML trucks were.

Easy enough, but for anyone doing it, don’t take the shield with the housing. All you need to do are the two 13mm bolts at the back, top/side. You’ll understand when you look at it.

Pretty sure this is last GM truck for me , now my 19 high country dually lost oil pressure at 65,058 miles 16 months old, been serviced every 10,000 or more often and stranded me twice now, this time really bad area and chevy road service left me on the side of the road for 6 hours, paid the tow ...Not a single issue until 4/04/2021. 7812 miles, had been driven 150 that day, 20 miles from home, check engine light, derate & shut-down in seconds. Lotsa white smoke. Dealer replaced fuel pump, still no start, no fuel pressure, lift pump working perfectly. Maybe $77,000 isn't enough to get one to 10,000 miles.L5P fuel filter failure. It always happens in 3rd or 4th gear under light acceleration. It feels like the engine loses fuel for a second causing deceleration ...And now GM is moving to encryption of canbus data in an effort to stop hacking of any onboard modules. However when GM ditched the LML's piezoelectric injectors for the Denso solenoid injectors, they actually made controlling the L5P hardware with an older ECM much easier. No need for swapping or modifying the heads to use old style injectors.
